What Medical Degrees are Awarded to Candidates?

After the completion of the undergraduate (UG), post-graduate (PG), or super-specialty (SS) course, the respective medical degree is awarded to the candidates. Candidates awarded with a medical degree must be registered with the National Medical Commission (NMC) to practice as a doctor or for pursuing higher education.

The institute was founded in 1823 during the French colonial rule and was called Ecole de Medicine de Pondichery.
